New Arrivals : Schumacher fall 2012
Dorothee Schumacher’s fall collection is stunning. Always somptuous knits, beautiful suiting fabrics, gorgeous silks… Simplicity with a twist…. goes well with Boutique David Lesage’s mission.
I’m in love with the new version of her white shirt: Very simple from the front, but made so that you can tuck it in the front and leave the back out, to show those beautiful pleats.
I always buy a suit for the store from Schumacher as well. Why? Because they are simply the nicest on the market. It’s not your random suit, straight and borring… Her suits are always very feminine, perfectly cut and have beautiful details. Like this black blazer in a thick crepe, with silk charmeuse lapels for a “Lanvin” look paired with her pretty pencil skirt.
And “THE” pencil skirt….I bought a lot of that skirt, cause it is perfect. It is also “THE” piece of the season. If you don’t have a black high waist pencil skirt, you really need one for fall !
An interesting piece from her fall collection is the extra fine merino sweater with lace inserts. The lace on the skin is beautiful and feminine. Paired with jeans, black pants or pencil skirt, it is the perfect touch to a day outfit.
I also like the silk long sleeve shift dress with pintuck details. It is definitely a nice day dress that you can just pair with a belt or a necklace for night time. Also love the sheer sleeve: Perfect for those who want to hide their shoulders but still show a bit of skin.
The cashmere Ivory sweater is also to die for. Bulky with a dropped shoulder but with a ribbon in the back to make it a bit more cinched at the waist.
The silk “lanvin” style top is also beautiful. Love the details at the neck and the blouson aspect at the waist. Very elegant for day under a suit or night with jeans or a pencil skirt.
The fur jacket is also one of the key piece this season in Schumacher’s collection. Fur accent were everywhere in the fashion show. At Boutique David Lesage, we have the cropped sleeve mid-season jacket. It made in racoon and lined in silk. The price is also very good 1295$ for a fur coat is relatively cheap.
