by boutiquedavidlesage

Your grandmother’s closet will be at the top of your shopping list this fall, with a retro mix of florals, lace, knits and tweeds, making the sartorial cut.
Chic sportsmanship will be of importance as well, especially when channeling the great outdoors or revealing in the new take on military.
Travel the globe in style with your arsenal of luxe essentials – fur accents, elegant costume jewellery and sophisticated black leathers. Designers really brought a regal sophistication to Fall 2012.
Winter White and Black Tux
Designers put a new twist on winter white, embracing the monochromatic look for fall with skillful tailoring and a knack for looking cool.
Not always easy in Montreal’s weather with the snow and bad weather though… so a tad of black is added to the mix, making it very posh, luxe and elegant.
Damasks, lace and sheer additions were added as well for a breath of fresh air.
The Peblum
Tibi, Autumn cashmere, Tara Jarmon, Malene Birger, Robert Rodriguez and many more, kept focus on the waist by adding peblums, panniers and padding to the hips for a va-va-voom impact.
Hips enhancers are just everywhere : On jackets, sweaters, dresses, skirts and tops.
Total Black
Montrealers have an undying affection for all-black, making the minimalist look a perpetual hit. Designers were happy to comply, with leather looks and total black outfits that would revive The Matrix.
Leather biker coats, leather leggings and lace tops are paired for a gothic romance feel.
The perennially sleek black pantsuit and the black pencil skirts are the bottoms “par excellence” for a more sophisticated silhouette.
Statement Sweaters
Sweaters, sweaters and more sweaters. This Fall, you need to invest in SWEATERS.
Designers showed gorgeous sweaters on the runways, making it a key piece in the women’s wardrobe.
Droped shoulders. structures, oversized and bulky are prefered back to a straight leg trouser or once again, the pencil skirt.
Intense Florals
I just love flowers and it’s a good thing because they can be seen in all makor trend reports and in a bold manner.
Tara Jarmon is showing bright red roses on grey raw silk and Tibi shows jewel-tones garden flowers on silk shirts and dresses for an editorial look.
Red Red Wine
Total look or in small doses, red is everywhere. It is synonym of strenght and power.
Red sweaters, red printed skirts, red and fuschia cardigan, red and navy dresses, burgundy dresses, fluffy burgundy sweaters will all be available this fall.
